The park is situated on the flood plain south of the historic City ofYork, below the confluence of the River Ouse and the Foss.

As can be expected at times of flooding the park is often underwater. Whilst many of our services provided in the main park building can carry on, some of our activities may have to be suspended for some time as the Council and Volunteers clean and repair the inevitable damage flooding brings.

If you would like to know more about flooding and the park, or maybe you could spare some time to help us when we have to bring the park back into use after flooding, please do feel free to contact us.
